Make you smile card in Bumblebee

One of my favourite colours of the new 2020-2022 In Colors is Bumblebee, such a lovely warm yellow colour, almost a mustard yellow. It reminds me of Autumn colours back home in the UK.With those Autumnal colours in mind I used the Bumblebee cardstock and designer series paper (DSP) and paired it with Early Espresso for this simple card.

I used the reverse side of the DSP for a sentiment across the middle and fussy cut a few flowers from the Lovely You stampset before finishing with some enamel dots in Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider.

Beauty Abounds Butterfly Candle

It was a good friend's birthday recently and I knew she would appreciate a handmade gift. I wanted to make something which would match with the birthday card I had stamped using the Beauty Abounds stampset.

I'd seen a technique for transferring a stamped image onto a candle and just had to give it a go.

I was pretty pleased with the finished article (after a less successful practice attempt). This is really simple to achieve. Stamp your design onto a piece of white tissue paper, fussy cut close to the design and place onto the candle. Cover with baking paper and carefully use a heat tool to melt a little of the wax into the tissue paper. 

If you don't have a heat tool, a hair dryer will work too, but be careful not to apply too much heat too soon, or you will end up with a drippy mess.
