I’m back in the workplace after over a year off with my little one and approaching my first Christmas working with a new team of people. I love surprising people with a little token gift at Christmas time and when I first used the pillow box dies I knew they would make the perfect special Christmas treat.
Just the right size for a bite size chocolate or a lolly or two, these little gift boxes are perfect "just in case" gifts or festive table favours.
I’ve used the Whimsy and Wonder designer series paper with its lovely modern pastel colour palette and the pillow box die from the set. The set also has lots of decorative options to step up your pillow box for a more ornate look. With this paper though I think the pattern is enough to make the box look really pretty.
Once I’d made up the boxes I finished them with a small label stamped “Merry” and fussy cut one of the holly leaves from some scrap patterned paper. The box is secured with some simple linen twine which I think goes nicely with the pastel colours of the paper.
